There are many different types of brushes out there, some for your face, your eyes and even brows. These make-up tools are vital when it comes to perfecting your look.
Brushes are made from different materials. Some make-up artists wouldn't go past a brush made with sable, goat or badger hair as they claim that they are fantastic in regards to application. If you don’t like the idea of using animal products even though most brush manufacturers are keeping in mind the safety of the animal, by guaranteeing no animal being harmed, you may choose to purchase a brush made from synthetic fibre. Synthetic fibre brushes have come a long way and are just as good, sometimes I think they are even better. The choice is yours.
Now that we've got that sorted, you should always clean your brushes after every use, if you’re using your brushes on more than one person. This is to avoid cross contamination of bacteria. If however you’re using the brushes on yourself then it’s up to you or at least once a month. It is always a good idea to purchase a special solvent especially made for brushes and follow the directions. Another way to wash your brushes is with shampoo, it’s your preference. Use a small towel to absorb as much moisture as possible. Shape your brushes into how you would like them to look when dry and always dry them on their side.

Good luck with your brush journey and to a world of looking fab!
