What Are Muscle Cramps and Spasms?
After commencing a rather intense exercise regime after a period of laziness I was starting to have a few muscle cramps whilst exercising and was wondering why and what it was all about.
What is A Muscle Cramp?
Muscle cramps are sudden, involuntary contractions that occur in various muscles. These contractions are often painful and can affect different muscle groups. Commonly affected muscles include those in the back of your lower leg, the back of your thigh, and the front of your thigh. (Healthline.com)
What Causes Muscle Cramps?

Dehydration-muscles aren't properly hydrated.

Deficiencies- particularly low levels of magnesium, potassium and calcium.

Low Oxygenation of Muscles poor circulation can lead to lower levels of oxygen in the muscles.

Medications certain medications particularly diuretics.

Alcohol- Over indulging in too much Alcohol regularly.
How to relieve and prevent Muscle Cramps

Stretch it out! Stretch your muscles thoroughly to help increase oxygen and circulation.

Have a warm bath with a ¼ cup of Magnesium Chloride Powder to help the muscles to relax.
