Why use a Mask and Which One Should I choose?
Why Do We Need a Facial Mask?
Masks are an important addition to your skincare routine, even though we are cleansing and moisturising every day. Different masks are designed for different purposes. They can be:- Hydrating
- Anti-ageing
- Provide a temporary face lift
- Exfoliating
Exfoliating masks give a deeper, more detoxifying effect. Incorporating a mask weekly will help significantly with the maintenance of your skin health. With so many different types of masks to choose from it is important to use a mask that suits your skin type and also suits your skins need at the time. Don't forget to include your décolleté and hands into your mask routine also. Both of these areas are also exposed to the sun and elements and can also do with some regular nurturing and repair. If you are confused working out which type of mask is best for you, then I have included a few examples of skin types below which I hope you might find helpful. Hydrating Mask and Anti Ageing PHP Treatment Mask: Hyaluronic Acid, Manuka Honey, MSM, Jojoba Oil, Colloidal oatmeal and Aloe Vera are all ingredients that are gentle on sensitive skins and also have great hydrating, calming, regenerating and healing properties. If you have dry skin and are wanting to hydrate it, then a mask including these type of ingredients would be ideal. If you have red and inflamed skin and wanted to calm it down then this type of mask could work also. In the MISMO range this would translate to the PHP Treatment Mask. Purify, Hydrate and Plump Treatment mask. This mask includes all of the ingredients above and more, to help replace moisture back into the skin, calm any redness and will speed up the healing process for any pimples or scarring. As an added bonus because of the high content of Hyaluronic Acid included in this mask, your skin will also enjoy the benefits lines being less noticeable and your skin looking feeling soft and smooth.
Exfoliating and Polishing: AHA Fruit Mask: Fruit Acids, Glycolic Acid, MSM, Aloe Vera and Hyaluronic Acid - this is quite a lineup. Suits all skin types and will leave your complexion polished and smooth, glowing with health. AHA Fruit Masque can assist considerably with Acne and Rosacea type skins for a number of reasons. Fruit Acids and Glycolic Acids will exfoliate the skin which is extremely helpful for Rosacea type skins given they tend to have thicker layers of dead skin cells that need to be regularly exfoliated. Exfoliation can also help with Acne skins as this will help with controlling congested skin and pimples. A build-up of dead skin cells mixed with sebum is a recipe for pimples. Glycolic acid and Fruit acids dissolve the bonds which hold dead skin cells on the skin while Jojoba beads help slough off the cells once the acids have done their work. As you already know Aloe Vera has beautiful calming properties as does Kaolin Clay. However, Kaolin Clay has a few other properties too including detoxifying and cleansing qualities, which for Acne and Rosacea skins is great also. For all other skin types you will just look more beautiful!! What are you waiting for? MISMO's AHA Fruit Mask would be my recommendation for Acne and Rosacea skins.
