What's in my winter makeup bag?
Here's a sneak peak as to what's in my makeup bag during the winter months.
A shade lighter than my usual summer foundation, given I am not as sun tanned during the cooler the months. I find this helps with more natural and seamless looking coverage.
Kabuki brush, - it's my favourite brush for applying mineral powder foundation, easy to use and a great size for travel too.
Mineral Veil to lock in and set my makeup so that it doesn't rub off onto scarves and winter coats. It's also a great one for absorbing any oils that develop over the day and leaves my face looking fresh and oil free.
Exfoliator (very important during the winter months) to make sure my skin is silky smooth and able to absorb my moisturiser and serums so that my foundation also stays in place and ensures even coverage. I also remember to include my lips in the exfoliation too, so they don't get chapped.
Beige Pearl mineral eyeshadow. It's pretty much my staple eyeshadow that looks great during the day and of an evening too. The colours versatility is what I love.
I've also got some blush powder, which I think is a must for everyone as it finishes off your makeup and gives you that healthy natural looking glow.
As the well known makeup up artist Bobbi Brown once said, ˜Makeup is a way for a woman to look and feel like herself, only prettier and more confident'.
I believe it's all about feeling good about yourself and having fun with your makeup and the different seasons gives us an opportunity to tweak our makeup accordingly. Enjoy!
