The Best Skin Routine For Rosacea
Unfortunately, many people suffer from a common skin condition called rosacea which can cause flushed skin, unwanted redness and irritation. If you suspect you might have rosacea or you have struggled with it for some time, we have your solution right here. MISMO was actually born due to our founder's battle with rosacea. Once Irene stumbled upon MSM, she began working closely with chemists to fine-tune her formulations.
Rosacea is a skin concern that can present as redness or flushing, sometimes with acne-like breakouts or visible blood vessels, usually on the nose, forehead and cheeks. Symptoms can range from mild to severe but if left untreated, may worsen over time. Rosacea may lead to feelings of itchiness, burning, or stinging, and unfortunately what exactly causes rosacea is still unknown. Flare ups can occur in response to a variety of things ranging from environmental factors, such as temperature or sun exposure, to something as simple as what you eat and drink, like spicy foods or alcohol.
How to Tell if You Have Rosacea
Rosacea can be difficult for most of us to identify and that's where a doctor might be able to help. Facial bumps and redness caused by rosacea often look similar to other skin conditions, such as acne, psoriasis, dermatitis or lupus and this is why it’s important to see a dermatologist for expert diagnosis if you are noticing any symptoms of rosacea.
The Best Rosacea Skin Care Routine
MISMO's three-step routine for skin redness will help relieve discomfort and the overall appearance of Rosacea. We have two 3-step collections for younger or more mature skin types that are both rich with MISMO MSM, Aloe Vera and Hyaluronic Acid/Zinc.
- Moisten skin with warm water and apply a small amount of Natural Cleansing Milk. Gently massage with your Microfibre Cleanser for at least 30 seconds, then rinse to remove.
- Apply one pump of Cell Soother to the entire face and neck and let dry.
- Finish with Ultra Moisturising SPF Sunscreen 15 mins before being exposed to the sun. Not waterproof, re-apply after swimming. Also fine to use in the evening too as it contains Zinc which is calming for the skin.
Morning & Night Routine
- Moisten skin with warm water and apply a small amount of Natural Cleansing Milk. Gently massage with your Microfibre Cleanser for at least 30 seconds, then rinse to remove.
- Apply one to two pumps of Rejuvenating Serum to the entire face and neck and let dry.
- Cover with Nourishing Cream.
What's the difference between Rosacea Bundles for Younger & Mature Skin?
Both contain Natural Cleansing milk, which is gentle and calming on the skin and suits the most sensitive skin types. These natural ingredients will leave your skin feeling silky and completely cleansed.
Both contain the Microfibre Face Cleanser which loosens, lifts and traps all makeup and impurities from your skin. Unlike regular cotton, these work like a suction cup to clean and remove all in one.
Cell Soother Vs. Rejuvenating Serum
Cell Soother contains MSM with Aloe Vera gel is a potent mix for all skin problems. Cell Soother's MSM content is 15%, the largest amount possible to use in a product. Inflammation is controlled and healing is greatly accelerated.
Rejuvenating Serum contains hyaluronic acid which restores precious moisture levels. Rosacea creates heat in the skin leading to the loss of vital moisture stores. Hyaluronic acid is present naturally in the dermis of the skin, the same place you will find collagen and elastin. Supplementing hyaluronic acid not only replaces lost moisture it supplements your body's dwindling supplies. This is a wonderful anti-ageing serum too.
*Where cost is an issue use Cell Soother in place of Rejuvenating Serum. You can also alternate them thus reducing the cost overall. A good result will still be enjoyed using Cell Soother, just different. You will not get the same ageing benefits and skin-plumping as with Rejuvenating Serum. It is best not to use Rejuvenating Serum and Cell Soother at the same time as it can be too drying.
Ultra Moisturising SPF Sunscreen Vs. Nourishing Cream
Ultra Moisturising SPF Sunscreen is a light, calming and soothing moisturiser that provides broad-spectrum SPF15 protection from the sun. Ideal for everyday use and suitable for all skin types. Contains high concentrations of Zinc, MSM and hyaluronic acid for excellent hydration.
Nourishing Cream is a richer moisturiser and is especially beneficial when used on sensitive and dehydrated skins. Rosacea sufferers will find this cream extremely hydrating, calming, and non-irritating. Contains MSM, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E.
