MSM and Pets How Much to Use
MISMO MSM and how to use it for pets is a question we are often asked. MSM is a great supplement to feed your pets. Often as they get older, conditions similar to those we humans experience are evident in your pets. Below is a collection of comments from our customers who use MSM for their dogs, cats, horses, goats and even chicken and ducks. One cat is now 22 years old which is amazing and has to be a record.
DOG LOVERS:
"I give my dog Luca MSM once or twice a week in liquid form for breakfast Luca is 1 year old on the 16th of October and for the last 6 months we seem to have the perfect diet, he is the most Luca the dog and MSM delightful ,happy and energetic Labradoodle , chocolate brown fleece and will run and play all day. Diet is generally raw diced chicken for breakfast and diced beef for dinner ,always with chopped raw kale or veggies seeped in boiled water sometimes with a little vegemite Served at room temperature , occasionally mix in some natural yoghurt or a tinned sardine and some dry biscuits and of course the magic MSM teaspoon diluted twice weekly. It may sound a little laborious , compared with opening a tin of dogfood but Hey Ho ! happy healthy Luca is the best.

"Thanks MISMO, I have been using MSM for a good many years, on both my dogs for their painful hips. I was one of the lucky ones whose vet recommended its use! From rescue animals who the vet said he would have euthanased had they come in as puppies to lovely bouncy babies, MSM has definitely helped to control their pain levels . Both my babies have had awful lives one being left to starve to death rescued in the nick of time and the other so badly bred she spent the first 9 months of her life at Gatton University Vet hosp. Then handed over to the Ipswich pound. Not a great start I think you'll agree!

"I have 4 cats. Since I've been putting MSM in their drinking water I swear they are so much happier and more lively. One is nearly 16, one is nearly 15, one is 6 and the other is 2 years old. They are never sick touch wood. But I have definitely noticed a difference in my 16 year old. Its like she has a new lease in life. I dissolve about 6 teaspoons in warm water and add it to their water fountain.
I also have 2 teaspoons in water every morning and have less aches and pains. I have started walking again 6klms of a morning and feel great. I am 65 years old."

"Allow me to introduce my companion, Ambient. He has been complimenting my life for the past 22 years. Yes He IS a predator, successfully hunting Rats, Mice and Rabbits. (We came to an understanding about Birds very early in our relationship). Ambient was meant to be a house bound, indoors cuddle cat. But to my despair, when he was just two years old, I discovered that he was born with a Displaced Hip. The Vet suggested I allow him more freedom to keep his hip mobile. In the last 7 years I have been looking to all veterinary avenues to ease Ambients arthritic pain. All things inevitably lead to kidney damage. It wasn't until I personally started suffering debilitating knee inflammation four years ago that my research led me to Methylsulfonylmethane or Distilled MISMO MSM. After ingesting MSM for 6 weeks, the reduction in inflammation, thus pain, was astounding. After ingesting MSM for my own relief I couldn't help but wonder if Ambient could also benefit? I added 1/8th of a tea spoon to his 300ml water bowl. He still drank from it Awesome! Over a period of time, about two weeks, I built up the dose to a full teaspoon on 300ml water Ambient still drank it. This was the single BEST thing I have done for my companion in the last 3 years. I know it is NOT damaging his vital organs and it helps to keep him active He can actually run up the hall again and jump up onto my bed. "Hi Irene, I've been feeding my mares about 1 tablespoon daily. I just feed it in their nightly feeds. They eat it no problem. I started with 1 teaspoon and built up over 1 month.

"I own a beautiful chestnut horse called Rosie. She's 33 years old this year and I've owned her since she was 4 years old. Rosie is fed daily with a chaff blend mixed with water. For the last 10 years, I've also added 1 tablespoon of msm to her feed. Rosie doesn't have major joint issues like a lot of older horses suffer from. Occasionally I've run out of msm and have noticed Rosie is a little stiff walking so now I always keep plenty in supply. I'm sure that giving her a daily dose of msm has helped with her longevity and has prevented the onset of arthritis and other mobility issues. She's been a great horse over the years and she deserves only the best in her senior years. I think Rosie is really remarkable for her age."
